Biography

Senior Season — 2015
One of two Big Red pitchers to not make any appearances out of the bullpen, Urbon made nine starts on the year and was a steady option for Cornell all season. He carried a sub two ERA up until the final two weeks of the season, including two straight starts while not allowing a run to open up the campaign. In his 45 and 2/3 innings pitched, he did not surrender a home run and threw a shutout on April 12 when he struck out five allowed just three hits over seven innings in the Big Red's 2-0 triumph. Known for being difficult to run on, he picked off a trio of runners and just .538 percent of stolen base attempts were successful while he was on the hill. Even though he did not have any save opportunities in his final season, he still ends his collegiate career as the Big Red's all-time leader in saves with 13.

Junior Season — 2014
Urbon was 2-3 with a 3.63 earned run average in 12 appearances, which was tied for second on the team. His two saves were also tied for the team lead, and he also started a pair of Ivy League games late in the season — his first at the collegiate level. He earned the victory in the second game of an April 25 doubleheader against Princeton, surrendering three runs in 5.2 innings against the Tigers. In his 10 relief appearances, Urbon had an ERA of  2.31.

Sophomore Season — 2013
Urbon made just four appearances before an injury forced a premature end to his season. He surrendered just one run (which was unearned) in 5.1 innings with a 1-1 record, three strikeouts, no walks and two saves.

Freshman Season — 2012
Urbon was lights-out all season for the Big Red, immediately installed as the team's closer. He made a team-high 22 appearances out of the bullpen and set single-season program records with nine saves and a 0.47 earned run average. He was unanimously selected as both the Ivy League Rookie of the Year and the lone relief pitcher on the All-Ivy League First Team, then was later selected as a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American. ... Urbon had a 3-1 record through 21 appearances, including three extended outings of five innings or more. He earned his first collegiate victory with five scoreless innings of work April 7 at Brown, then surrendered just an unearned run in 6.1 innings of relief April 29 at Princeton in a must-win game that Cornell won in the 12th inning. The performance at Princeton earned Urbon Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors. ... The following week, Urbon pitched five scoreless innings in Game 3 of the Ivy League Championship Series against Dartmouth, earning the victory. To close out the season, he worked 2.2 innings against East Carolina in an NCAA Regional game, surrendering just an unearned run. Opposing hitters batted just .170 against him for the season.
