At Cornell
Junior (2011): Vanjak saw action in four matches during her junior campaing after suffering a season-ending injury. She made a against North Carolina A&T and registered 10 kills on 18 attempts for a .444 hitting percentage to go along with a service ace.
Sophomore (2010): Vanjak played in just one set due to a season-long injury. She registered a kill on her only attempt of the season.
Freshman (2009): Vanjak saw action in six matches as a freshman, playing 12 sets. She posted three kills, three blocks, two digs and one service ace on the year.
Before Cornell
Vanjak, a native of Croatia but living in Germany, played four years of both volleyball and basketball in school while playing competitively for TG Bad Soden. She was honored as the team's most improved player and started every match as a senior. She helped her team to two berths in the final four of the State of Hessen championships.
Personal
Ana Vanjak is the daughter of Tonci and Valerija Vanjak and has an older sister and a younger brother and sister. Her father played professional basketball in the 1st and 2nd division in Croatia and Germany, whiler uncle played professional basketball in Europe and was a member of the Croatian national team. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
