Freshman (2012): Ward saw action in three matches, playing in eight sets during her rookie season. She was injured for the majority of the Ivy League campaign. Ward finished the year with on assist, one dig and one service ace.  

Before Cornell
Ward played two years of varsity at Friendswood high school, earning Academic All-District as a senior, despite being sidelined much of the season due to an injury. During her junior campaign, she helped her team to a Varsity 4A Region III runner-up finish and a co-district championship with a record of 37-9. She was named to the 2010 Galveston All-County honorable mention team and the Texas 4A All-District second team. Prior to her time on the varsity, she helped Friendswood’s JV squads to a pair of district championships with a two-year combined record of 60-3. In 2012, Ward played club volleyball for AVA of Texas, helping her 17 Team Rox squad earn an Open Division bid to USAV Junior Nationals with a third-place finish at the Northeast Qualifier. Her previous two club teams also earned bids to the USAV Junior National Championships in 2010 and 2011.

Personal
Brittany Nicole Ward is the daughter of Michael and Tiffiny Ward. She is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
