Biography

At Cornell
Junior (2014): Kalepa did not play.
 
Sophomore (2013): Kalepa saw action in five matches, playing in 10 sets. She finished the year with 11 digs. 

Freshman (2012): After serving as one of the team’s defensive specialists for the first half of her rookie season, Kalepa took over the starting libero duties against Harvard on Oct. 12 and filled that role for the remainder of 2012. She saw action in 18 matches overall, playing in 56 total sets. Kalepa finished the year with 164 digs (2.93 per set) and added 29 assists and one service ace. She handled 249 serves and posted just 12 reception errors for a .952 service reception percentage. Kalepa registered double-digit digs in eight of the Big Red’s final nine matches of the season, averaging 4.1 digs per set during that span. She had a season-high 28 digs vs. Dartmouth on Oct. 13, and posted 21 vs. Columbia (Oct. 20) and 23 against Princeton (Nov. 10). 

Before Cornell
Kalepa played two varsity seasons at Kamehameha high school, leading her team to a state championship in 2010 and serving as the team captain in 2011. She was all-state honorable mention as a junior and was named to the Durango All-Tournament Team as a senior. Kapela was also the captain of her school’s JV squads for two seasons and helped those teams to an ILH championship in 2009 and a runner-up finish in 2008. As a member of the Jammers volleyball club, she has served as team captain since 2007 and she helped the team to a bronze medal at the 2010 Junior Nationals. 

Personal
Brittany-Ann Kau’iokamaka Kalepa is the daughter of Frank and Heidi Kalepa and she has an older brother, Micah, who plays football for Western Oregon University. She is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
