Biography

Senior Season — 2012-13
Miller completed his collegiate career by becoming the program's first three-time leading scorer since Matt Moulson '06. He was named to the All-Ivy League First Team, the All-ECAC Hockey Third Team and was also tabbed as ECAC Hockey's Best Defensive Forward. He led the team with a plus-18 rating, won 58 percent of his faceoffs and committed just two minor penalties. He was on the ice for an opponent's five-on-five goal just six times in 22 league games. All the while, Miller was still excelling offensively. He set a career high with 33 points and tied a career high with 14 goal. He had 11 points over a six-game scoring streak late in the season, including back-to-back two-goal games against Rensselaer and Union on Senior Weekend in late February. He came up just two points shy of becoming the program's 48th player to reach 100 career points.

Junior Season — 2011-12
The reigning team leader in points got even stronger, still leading the squad in points while also accumulating 14 goals — more than tripling his career total. He added a team-high 17 assists to finish the season with 31 points, but his most impressive stastic may have been his plus-21 rating. As a result, he was named a finalist for ECAC Hockey’s Best Defensive Forward Award. He also had a faceoff-winning percentage of 54.4, up four points from the previous year. Miller started the season off with an eight-game scoring streak, including two goals and eight assists. He had multiple points in six games, including three-point efforts Feb. 20 against Brown and March 9 against Dartmouth in the first game of an ECAC Hockey Championship quarterfinal series at Lynah Rink.

Sophomore Season — 2010-11
Miller had a breakout season as a sophomore, leading the team in scoring and assists. He posted four goals and added 25 assists for 29 points, becoming the third sophomore in the past four seasons to lead the club in scoring. Miller had nine multi-point games during the season, including a high of three with three assists on Jan. 14 against Rensselaer. He had two-point games in back-to-back contests twice on the year, first scoring a goal and an assist against Alabama-Huntsville on Dec. 4 and picking up two assists on Dec. 29 against St. Cloud State, and later adding two assists against Clarkson on Feb. 4 and a goal and an assist against St. Lawrence a day later. He had four assists in the playoffs, including picking up two in game one of the ECAC Hockey quarterfinals against Quinnipiac.

Freshman Season — 2009-10
Miller had a strong freshman season, appearing in 27 games and tallying five points on two goals and three assists. He made his collegiate debut on Oct. 30 against Niagara and had a goal and an assist in the Big Red's win against Harvard on Nov. 7 for his first career points and multi-point game. He later scored a goal on Dec. 29 against Colorado College and added assists on Jan. 29 against St. Lawrence and on Feb. 12 against Brown.
