As a senior
Lang put forth the best offensive season in her career during her final year with the Big Red, scoring 14 goals and three assists for a career-high 17 points. She also picked up 25 ground balls and recorded 34 draw controls while causing 10 turnovers, all career bests. She scored two goals in four different games in her senior year, and she scored one of the Big Red's five goals in the Ivy League Tournament semifinal against No. 16 Penn. Twice during the year, Lang had a career-best four draw controls (vs. Boston University, at Columbia).
As a junior
Lang was a consistent scorer throughout her junior year, notching nine goals and three assists. Her breakout game came at Binghamton, where she scored a career-high four goals after never scoring more than one in a game prior. Lang also picked up 22 ground balls, won 18 draws and caused eight turnovers while starting in 10 games.
As a sophomore
Lang emerged as a force in the midfield, scoring six goals and adding three assists and ranking among the team leaders in both draw controls (19) and ground balls (16). Lang also caused seven turnovers while playing in all 14 contests with 12 starts. She had multi-point performances against Notre Dame and Yale with a goal and an assist in each. Lang had a goal and five draws in a win over Columbia and had an assist, four ground balls, four draw controls and a caused turnover against Dartmouth. She also had two draws and two ground balls against Princeton.
As a freshman
Lang saw action in nine contests off the bench in 2010, winning a pair of ground balls. She won possessions for the Big Red in games against Hofstra and Columbia.
At St. Ignatius College Prep
Lang was a two-time U.S. Lacrosse High School All-American and Scholastic All-American at St. Ignatius College Prep. Lang led her team in scoring in each of her final two seasons, posting 101 points as a senior (76 goals, 25 assists) to pace the 15-2 squad to a No. 1 ranking in the state. She also recorded 82 points as a junior (63 goals, 19 assists) after ranking as the second and third-highest scorer on the team in her first two years. Lang captured the 2008 and 2009 St. Ignatius Coaches Award, with her team finishing 15-3 as a junior to place fourth in the state. The 2008 Marin County Spring Athlete of the Year in lacrosse, she also was a three-year starter in soccer. A first-team all-conference pick as a senior on the soccer team, Lang was a captain her final season.
Personal
Kelly Teresa Lang is the daughter of Steve and Allison Lang and has two brothers and a sister. Her older brother, Roy, plays defense/midfield for the Cornell men’s lacrosse team. Her father played football and lacrosse at Princeton and her grandfather was a football player at Denver. Lang also had two uncles who competed as college athletes, as her Uncle Mitchel Dick ‘81 was a cross country runner at Cornell, while Michael Dick played soccer at Brown. Lang is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
