Biography
At Cornell
Junior (2013): Paoletta saw action in 12 games as a member of the Big Red’s defensive midfield. He finished the year with seven ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Sophomore (2012): Paoletta saw action in five games during his sophomore season, playing against Canisius, Dartmouth, Brown, Princeton and Yale during the Ivy League tournament. He finished the season with five ground balls and one caused turnover. Paoletta had a season-high two ground balls against the Golden Griffins.
Freshman (2011): Paoletta saw action in the first seven games of the season in the defensive midfield before being slowed down by an injury. He played in eight games overall during his rookie season and finished the year with six ground balls and three caused turnovers. Paoletta posted a season-high two ground balls at Stony Brook and two caused turnovers vs. Dartmouth.
At The Landon School
Paoletta lettered three times in lacrosse at the Landon School, helping his team to three consecutive IAC championships and winning the team’s 2010 George Boiardi Award. He served as team captain as a senior and was a two-time all-league selection. Paoletta was also named second-team all-state and was an honorable mention All-Met selection. He also lettered three times in football and served as team captain as a senior.
Personal
Joseph Eugene Paoletta is the son of Mark and Tricia Paoletta and he has three younger sisters. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
