Career: Stevens was a two-time All-American, earning second-team honors as a senior after an honorable mention selection as a junior. He was two-time unanimous first-team All-Ivy selection and a USILA Scholar Athlete. He proved to be one of the top cover men in the nation over the past two seasons, routinely being tasked with shutting down the opponent's top attackman. Stevens finished his senior year with 42 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers and finished his career ranked third in Cornell history with 63 caused turnovers.
Junior (2014): One of the top cover men in the Ivy League, Stevens was an honorable mention All-American selection and a first-team All-Ivy honoree after a junior campaign in which he routinely shut down his offensive assignment. Over the course of the season, he held his offensive opponents to nearly a point below their season average. Stevens also ranked second on the team in ground balls (3.25 per game) and caused turnovers (1.19 per game). He picked up at least one ground ball in each game during the season, including a season-high six vs. Penn. Of his 19 caused turnovers, over half (10) came in six Ivy League contests, including a season-high four vs. the Quakers.
Sophomore (2013): Stevens started all 18 games and helped Cornell to rank 15th in the nation in scoring defense during his sophomore season. He ranked fourth on the team with 41 ground balls and ranked third overall with 23 caused turnovers. Stevens also registered the fewest turnovers of any of the team’s starters. He had at least on ground ball in all but two contests on the year, with a career-high six against Maryland in the NCAA tournament. That same game, he also caused a career-high five turnovers. Of his 23 caused turnovers, nearly half (11) came during Ivy League play. Stevens also registered his first career goal at Canisius.
Freshman (2012): Stevens saw significant playing time during his rookie season, playing in all 13 games and making six starts for the 15th ranked defensive unit in the nation.
