Biography

As a Junior (2012-13)
Campbell was one of Cornell’s most dynamic scorers in her junior season, contributing key goals in pivotal contests. She scored twice against Harvard on Feb. 15, a game that went a long way to sealing Cornell’s fourth straight ECAC Hockey regular season title. She then scored the game-winner in the ECAC Hockey Tournament championship game against the Crimson, netting a rebound of an Emily Fulton shot. Campbell was named to the All-Ivy Second Team after the regular season. She had a career-high 16 goals on the season and was second on the team in goals. She was also second on Cornell with five game-winning goals.

As a Sophomore (2011-12)
Campbell scored a season-high two points at Quinnipiac on Nov. 19, including her second goal of the season. She scored her first points against Brown on Oct. 29 and took a season-high eight shots on goal at Colgate in the season-opener. Against Quinnipiac on Jan. 13, Campbell recorded a power play goal and an assist. She contributed a goal and four assists and provided a spark of speed on the BIg Red’s third line playing as its left wing. She scored the goal against Boston University that started Cornell’s rally from down three goals and then assisted on the game-winner in triple overtime, equaling her season high with two points.

As a Freshman (2010-11)
Campbell battled injuries throughout her freshman season, costing her several games played, but was still a major contributor for the Big Red. She opened her career with a huge splash, scoring four goals in the second game of the season against Robert Morris to claim her first ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week award. That four-goal outburst was the first by a Big Red player since Collette Bredin potted four against Colby on Feb. 28, 1998, in a 9-3 Cornell victory. Campbell continued her strong play in the first game of the season against Mercyhurst, recording a pair of assists in the 4-3 overtime loss. Campbell missed Cornell’s Dec. 4 game against Clarkson due to injury, then was on international duty with Canada at the MLP Cup on Jan. 7 and 8, missing the Big Red’s trip to Yale and Brown. She scored a goal in the win over Quinnipiac in the ECAC Hockey semifinals, then was injured and missed the ECAC Hockey championship game against Dartmouth. Campbell returned to the lineup for the national semifinal loss to Boston University on March 18. She finished the season with 31 games played, scoring 11 goals and 15 assists for 26 points and a +22 rating.

Before Cornell
Campbell served as team captain of the Canadian U18 national team that won a gold medal at the world championships in 2010, being named the tournament’s most valuable player. She also earned a silver medal at the world championships in 2009. Campbell played in 41 games for Pursuit of Excellence, scoring 57 goals and 47 assists for 104 points, and was a three-year member of Team Saskatchewan, twice serving as team captain.
