Freshman Season — 2013-14
Lewis was the only member of the freshman class to play in all 32 games, logging even-strength and penalty-kill minutes on the blue line. His first collegiate point was a goal, scored from the left point during a Feb. 22 victory at Princeton — a win which clinched the Ivy League title for the Big Red. Lewis then made a terrific pass to set up Brian Ferlin's overtime winner in Game 3 of an ECAC Hockey Championship quarterfinal series March 16 at Lynah Rink, faking a shot and zipping a pass under a defender. Lewis was also named a 'C' prospect by the NHL Central Scouting Service in November for the draft watch list.

Prior to Cornell
Lewis’ arrival marks the fourth straight season the Big Red has added a player directly from the esteemed U.S. National Team Development Program, following in the footsteps of Andy Iles ’14, Cole Bardreau ’15 and Gavin Stoick ’16. He helped the USNTDP win the Four Nations Tournament in each of his two seasons with the team, recording one goal and 13 assists in 111 games. Before joining the USNTDP, Lewis played midget-level hockey at famed Shattuck St. Mary’s in Minnesota, which has helped produce NHLers like Sidney Crosby, Zach Parise, Jonathan Toews and Drew Stafford, as well as Big Red teammate Kirill Gotovets ’14. Lewis was ranked 164th among North American skaters on the NHL Central Scouting Service's mid-term rankings for the 2013 draft, then 181st in the final rankings.
