Biography
At Cornell
Junior (2013): Jernudd enjoyed a jump in playing time during his junior season, playing in seven games. He registered two points on the season, scoring against Dartmouth and handing out one assist against Siena. Jernudd also picked up one ground ball against Colgate.
Sophomore (2012): Jernudd saw action in two games during his sophomore season, playing against Canisius and Yale. He took two shots on the year, putting one on goal.
Freshman (2011): Jernudd saw action in four games during his rookie campaign, playing against Binghamton, Canisius, Stony Brook and Dartmouth. He picked up one ground ball against the Bearcats.
At Lakeside School
Jernudd lettered four times in lacrosse and three times in basketball at Lakeside School. During his senior season, he served as team captain for both teams and was named a first-team all-state selection in lacrosse. For his accomplishments, Jernudd was named the 101 Club and Washington Athletic Club scholar-athlete of the year. He also played as a member of the Swedish national team during the 2010 FIL World Championships in Manchester, England. He led the team to a 10th place finish, scoring a team-high 26 points on 20 goals and six assists. For his efforts, he was named to the All-Presidents team as one of the top players in the tournament from a team that did not advance to the medal round.
Personal
Sten Albin Ryan Jernudd is the son of Tor Jernudd and Julia Ryan and he was one younger brother. His mother played volleyball and squash at Smith College from 1980-84. Jernudd is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
