Biography

Sophomore Season — 2015
Smith did not appear in any games due to injury.

Freshman Season — 2014
Smith was 1-0 with a 4.20 earned-run average across two starts and four relief appearances for the Big Red. He had 14 strikeouts in 15 innings and held opposing hitters to a .212 average and just one extra-base hit (a double). Smith made his first collegiate start in Ivy League play, earning the victory against Harvard in the second game of an April 1 doubleheader. He held the Crimson to one run on five hits over five innings, fanning two.

Prior to Cornell
After graduating from Episcopal School in his native Texas in 2012, Smith posted a 7-1 record for Mercersburg Academy and was named to the all-Mid-Atlantic Prep League team. He was a three-time all-league selection for Episcopal School in Texas and was once named one of the top 100 prospects in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. He was named Rawlings Texas Preseason All-Region in 2012 and 2013 and was named Perfect Game USA Underclass Preseason All American Honorable Mention in 2010 and 2011 before ultimately being named a Perfect Game USA Top 1,000 national recruit in 2013.

Personal
Tiger Cole Smith is the son of Larry Smith and Kimberly Fillmon-Smith, and he has a younger sister. He is enrolled in the School of Hotel Administration.
