Biography
At Cornell
Sophomore (2012): McCormack saw action in just one game during his sophomore season, playing against Harvard and going 1-of-5 in the face-off circle.
Freshman (2011): McCormack saw action in five games during his rookie season, playing against Binghamton, Canisius, Stony Brook, Dartmouth and Yale in the Ivy League semifinal game. He won 1-of-7 face offs on the season and picked up his lone ground ball against the Bearcats.
At Rye HS
McCormack was a four-year letter winner at Rye high school. As a senior, he served as team captain, was an all-section selection, an all-league selection and was a Hudson Valley Scholar Athlete award winner. Following his junior year, McCormack was named the team MVP, as well as all-section and to the honorable mention all-star team. He helped his team to a Regional and a Section I League championship in 2007 and 2008 and was named to the 2008 Journal News All-Star team. McCormack also lettered four times in football and served as team captain as a senior. He was a recipient of the National Football Foundation’s Golden Dozen Scholar Athlete award and helped his team to two NYS Class B state championships in 2007 and 2008.
Personal
Cole Michael McCormack is the son of Michael and Tammy McCormack and he has two younger sisters. His uncle Brian McCormack ’88 lettered twice for the Big Red lacrosse team, playing on a pair of national runner-up squads in 1987 and 1988. McCormack is enrolled in the School of Hotel Administration.
