Turner was an honorable mention All-Ivy League selection as a junior in 2013 after ranking among the Ivy League and national leaders in forced fumbles and interceptions while starting all nine games that he played in. He had 32 tackles, a team-best three interceptions and six passes defended while also forcing three fumbles and posting two tackles for loss. Turner was second in the Ivy League in forced fumbles (ninth nationally), third in interceptions (30th nationally) and 12th in passes defended. Turner recorded interceptions against Bucknell, Harvard and Penn. Turner notched two tackles, forced a fumble and broke up a pass against Colgate and had a pair of tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery in the win over Bucknell. Turner played in all 10 contests as a sophomore in 2012, starting three games, and ranked among the team leaders with 29 tackles. He added a tackle for loss, three pass breakups and an interception. He made a career-best seven stops in the win at Bucknell to go along with a pass breakup and a tackle for loss. He also earned his first interception to go along with six other tackles and a pass breakup in the win over Yale. Turner lettered in 2011 while playing in the defensive backfield and on special teams. He made three tackles as a rookie, with all three coming against Yale. He possesses good size and instincts at corner and will attempt to earn a starting job in 2013.

At Boys Latin School
Turner was a first-team all-state selection by ESPN Rise as a senior at Boys Latin School at defensive back. A three-time all-league pick, he led his team to an undefeated regular season as a junior. The four-year starter was a team captain as a senior. Turner was a three-sport star, also playing three years of basketball and two years of lacrosse. He served as team captain of the lacrosse squad as a sophomore.

Personal
Roger Michael Turner is the son of Roger and Benita Turner and has two older sisters and a younger brother and sister. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
