Biography
At Cornell
Junior (2014): In his first season with the Big Red, LaBeau saw action in all 16 games as part of the short-stick defensive midfield unit. He also was a valuable member of the face-off unit, playing on the wing. LaBeau picked up 15 ground balls and registered five caused turnovers on the year. He registered a season-high four ground balls at Michigan. Â
At Tufts
LaBeau was a solid contributor at midfield for Tufts University, which advanced to the national semifinal game his freshman season and the national quarterfinals during his sophomore year. Over two seasons, he played in 35 games, registered five goals and two assists, picked up 51 ground balls and caused eight turnovers.
At Mountain Lakes HS
LaBeau earned three varsity letters in lacrosse at Mountain Lakes high school, serving as team captain as a senior. He was named all-state that same season. LaBeau also lettered twice in football and three times in basketball, serving as team captain for both sports during his senior season. On the gridiron, he helped Mountain Lakes to a state championship as an all-conference defensive back, as well as three conference championships. He was also a two-time all-conference selection in basketball.
Personal
Timothy Kane LaBeau is the son of a pair of Cornell alumni – Tim ’77 and Nancy ’78 LaBeau. He has six sisters, including Kristi ’09 and Kate ’10, who attended Cornell. His father was a member of the Big Red football team from 1973-77 and his younger sister Alli is currently a member of the Lehigh women’s lacrosse team. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
