Biography
At Cornell
Junior (2014): Scott saw action in two games his junior season, playing vs. Canisius and Dartmouth.
Sophomore (2013): Scott saw action in two contests during his sophomore season, playing against Siena and Dartmouth.
Freshman (2012): Scott did not play during his rookie season.
At Memphis University School
A high school All-American, Scott was a three-year letter winner at the Memphis University School. As a senior captain, he led his team to a Tennessee State championship in 2011. He was twice nominated for the Best of Preps Lacrosse and was a two-time first-team all-state selection in 2010 and 2011.
Personal
Russell Thomas Scott is the son of Tom ’78 and Connie Scott and he has an older brother and an older sister. He has a total of 14 family members that attended Cornell, while his grandfather, Thomas W. Scott, is a retired professor of Agronomy in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Scott comes from an extremely athletic family, with his father Tom (football), his uncles John Dentes (football), George Dentes (football/sprint football/baseball), Terry Scott (sprint football), and Sam Happel (lacrosse) and his cousins Scott Dentes (sprint football) and Zak Dentes (sprint football) all playing sports at Cornell, while his uncles Gary Wilhelm (football/lacrosse) and John Scott (lacrosse) played at Yale and Swarthmore, respectively. Scott is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
