Biography
As a Sophomore (2015-16)
Boughn made one start in goal as a sophomore, making 23 saves in a 5-1 loss to Mercyhurst on Nov. 20.
As a Freshman (2014-15)
Boughn appeared in four games during her rookie campaign. She made her collegiate debut coming on in relief; making seven saves in Cornell’s 5-4 loss to Princeton on Oct. 31. She made her first collegiate start against Syracuse on Dec. 2, making a season-high 22 saves in the 6-2 victory. She made another start at Brown on Jan. 17, making 19 saves in the 4-2 victory. Boughn concluded the year, closing out Cornell’s 7-1 victory over RPI on Jan. 31.
Before Cornell
Boughn competed with the Mississauga Junior Chiefs, helping the team win a silver medal in the Provincial Women's Hockey League in 2014. She ranked second in the league with a .954 save percentage and was in the top five with a goals-against average of 1.32. In 2013, she was third in both GAA (1.45) and save percentage (.937). Boughn also competed with Team Ontario in the 2013 Under-18 national championships. She was named the squad's MVP in a 6-0 victory over Saskkatchewan. Boughn also attended Team's Canada Under-18 Team selection camp, strength and conditioning camp and goalie camp.
Personal
Amelia Morgan Boughn is the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Boughn, and she has a brother and a sister. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
