Sophomore Season — 2014-15
Stoick found time in nine of Cornell’s games during his return to the East Hill following a one-year absence in which he returned to junior hockey. His versatility came in handy for the Big Red in a season which featured countless injuries, with Stoick filling in both on the wing and on defense. His only point was an assist on Jacob MacDonald's goal Jan. 9 at St. Lawrence.

Freshman Season — 2012-13
Stoick appeared in 14 games, most of which came as the Big Red was going through its best stretch late in the season. He notched his first collegiate point in his first collegiate game, picking up a secondary assist on Greg Miller's game-winning goal Nov. 2 at Colgate. Eleven of Stoick's appearances then came in February or March, when he saw action both on defense and also a little on the wing.

Prior to Cornell
Stoick gives the Big Red a newcomer via the U.S. National Team Development Program's Under-18 team for the third consecutive season, joining Andy Iles '14 and Cole Bardreau '15. His two years with the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based program were highlighted by a positional switch from forward to defense. He posted a pair of assists in 36 games with the Under-17 team in 2010-11, then notched two goals with four assists for six points in 32 games the following year with the Under-18 squad. Stoick was a first-round pick in the USHL Futures Draft before electing to join the USNTDP. In years prior, Stoick won a Tier 1 Under-16 national championship in his two years with the Colorado Thunderbirds.

Personal
Gavin Bond Stoick is the son of William Stoick and Laura Bond, and he has an older sister. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
