As a Sophomore (2015)
Powell appeared in four games this season for the Big Red, helping the squad to victories over Colgate (3/4), Binghamton (3/11), Brown (3/21), and California (3/29). She tallied her first collegiate goal and point against Binghamton on 3/11. She added a ground ball and a caused turnover against Colgate.

As a Freshman (2014)
Powell played in one game this season, helping the Big Red defeat Binghamton, 15-4. 

Before Cornell
Powell was a three-sport athlete in high school, playing lacrosse as a midfielder, basketball as a guard and forward and also playing on her tennis team for one year. Powell's lacrosse teams were New York State Section V champions and state finalists in 2010 and 2012. In her senior season she helped her team reach the New York State semifinals in Class C. She was named All-Monroe County Second Team in 2011, First Team in 2013 and an Academic All-American in 2012 and 2013. She served as a team captain in her senior year. Powell also played club lacrosse for Lady Roc.

Personal
Amanda Leah Powell is the daughter of Ian and Leah Powell. She has an older sister, Lindsay, who plays lacrosse at Notre Dame, and a twin sister, Christine, who is joining her at Cornell to play lacrosse.
