Biography

Senior Season — 2015
Hall split time at catcher during his final year with the Big Red, making 19 starts and 22 appearances. Offensively, he found his swing during the latter half of the season with a pair of multi-hit games against Penn on April 12 and against Princeton on April 26. He also rode a three-game hitting streak during mid-April. He also had a watchful eye at the plate with a .328 on base percentage after drawing eight walks and getting hit by a pitch. Defensively, he ended the year with a .985 fielding percentage, matching his career total to put him at 8th all-time at the university.

Junior Season — 2014
Hall emerged as the Big Red's primary catcher, making 25 starts behind the plate while hitting as high as fifth in the lineup. He hit .253 with seven doubles. He hit his second career home run April 1 against Harvard, a solo shot in the bottom of the fourth inning. Hall had one three-hit game, going 3-for-4 with a double in the Big Red's April 12 win at Penn. He also was 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs on March 15 at James Madison. He also proved to be the hardest batter to strikeout on the team, fanning just seven times in 94 plate appearances.

Sophomore Season — 2013
Hall was the Big Red's primary designated hitter, though he also earned 14 starts behind the plate while primarily hitting out of the third spot in the lineup. He ranked second on the team in RBIs (16), and third in batting average (.271) and doubles (eight). Hall was the Big Red's leading hitter in nonleague games, where he batted .297. He tied a program record for hits in a game when he went 5-for-6 with two doubles and four RBIs in the Big Red's win on March 16 at Appalachian State. The team was 10-4 in games when Hall started at catcher.

Freshman Season — 2012
Hall served primarily as a designated hitter and a big right-handed bat off the bench. He started out hot with 14 hits in his first 10 collegiate starts, including six two-hit games. ... Hall’s biggest hit of the season saved the Big Red’s season. In a must-win April 29 clash at Princeton, Hall’s first collegiate home run was of the two-run variety, erasing Cornell’s deficit in the seventh inning of a game that it would go on to win in extra innings.

Prior to Cornell
Hall was named to the Avocado League West First Team, North County First Team, All-Academic First Team and All-CIF Second Team as a senior out of La Costa Canyon H.S. in Carlsbad, Calif. He also competed for Southern California team in the annual North-South game after serving as team captain in both his junior and senior seasons. Hall was also a member of the California Scholarship Federation and National Honor Society.
