Biography

Senior Season — 2015
McCulley made a quartet of appearances in his final season, including a pair of starts on the hill. He put in all of his work in the final month of the season. His first appearance on April 1 at Towson was the best of his campaign when he made the start and went four innings while allowing one run to score to go with four punchouts. His final game on the mound was also a start on April 26 against Princeton when he threw two innings, while allowing one run to score.

Senior Season — 2014
McCulley made seven appearances, including one start, going 0-1 with a 9.58 earned-run aerage. He earned his second career save with two innings of scoreless relief March 8 at George Washington.

Junior Season — 2013
McCulley had a stellar debut for the Big Red, pounding the strike zone en route to a 4-2 record and 1.70 earned run average and All-Ivy League Honorable Mention. He walked just eight batters and had just one wild pitch in 42.1 innings compared to 30 strikeouts. He earned a save by striking out five batters through two no-hit innings March 24 at Villanova to close out a 1-0 victory. He got even better in Ivy League play, where his 0.95 ERA ranked third in the league. He fanned a career-high seven batters in 5.2 innings of scoreless relief April 1 vs. Yale. He then moved into the starting rotation for the final four weeks, starting with a four-hit shutout of Red Rolfe Division champion Dartmouth on April 7. He worked 15.1 consecutive scoreless innings — a streak that was halted when Columbia pushed across three unearned runs on April 14. Through 28.1 innings in league play, McCulley surrendered just two extra-base hits (both doubles).

McCulley joins the Big Red after a stint at Faulkner State Community College.
