As a junior (2017)
• Saw action in four matches as a junior.
• Averaged 0.67 digs per set.
• Was utilized off the bench as a server in several late-set situations.
• Finished the year with 11 service attempts and just one service error (.909).

As a sophomore (2016)
• Bauchens saw action in 12 matches as a sophomore, including 10 Ivy League contests
• Earned the start vs. Dartmouth, Yale, Harvard and Princeton.
• Registered double-digit digs four times and her 2.39 digs per set ranked fourth on the team.
• Finished the season with 19 assists and five service aces.
 
As a freshman (2015)
• Bauchens saw action in 16 matches with six starts during her rookie year.
• Averaged 1.93 digs per set and finished in double-digits twice on the year, including a season-high 17 digs vs. Columbia on Sept. 26.
 
Prior To Cornell
• A four-year letter winner and three year captain at Brooklyn high school, Bauchens was a three-time team MVP and was named first-team All-Pac four consecutive seasons.
• Was also a Gatorade Player of the year nominee as a senior.
• Competed for the Academy Volleyball Cleveland (AVC) club team, serving as team captain in 2014-15.
• Was named to the 2012 North Coast Power League All-Tournament team and was named the 2011 Midwest Power League All Tournament MVP. 

Personal
• Shaylyn Marie Bauchens is the daughter of William and Kimberly Bauchens and she has two brothers and two sisters. 
• She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
