Biography
As a senior (2018-19)
• Averaged 2.5 points and 1.0 rebounds in 26 games (15 starts) for the Big Red.
• Earned the start in the season-opening win at Binghamton, registering seven points.
• Had five points, two steals, a rebound, a block and an assist in the win over Binghamton.
• Scored eight points with two rebounds against UConn and had seven points and two boards in the win over Longwood.
As a junior (2017-18)
• Missed the entire season due to injury.
As a sophomore (2016-17)
• Averaged 6.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 23.6 minutes per game over 29 contests (23 starts).
• Shot 53 percent from the floor, 39 percent from 3-point range and 70 percent from the free-throw line.
• In Ivy play, averaged 6.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.9 steals while shooting 48 percent from the floor.
• Scored a career-high 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting with two assists, a rebound and a steal at Wyoming.
• Hit all five field goals for 11 points against Southeast Missouri State.
• Scored 13 points with six assists and two rebounds at Syracuse.
• Notched 12 points, six rebounds and two assists at Albany and had six points, eight rebounds and three assists against Fisher (Mass.).
• Hit 6-of-7 shots for 14 points at Monmouth.
• Notched seven points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals and a blocked shot in the season-ending win at Brown.
• Posted five points, three rebounds and two assists against Colgate.
• Had six points, six rebounds and three steals in the Ivy opener against Columbia.
As a freshman (2015-16)
• Averaged 4.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.8 steals in 18.9 minutes per game while shooting 37 percent from the floor and 30 percent from 3-point range.
Started eight contests on the year, all coming in Ivy League play.
• Scored 11 points with five rebounds and two assists at Columbia in his first career start.
• Posted 10 points and six rebounds in a loss at UMass Lowell.
• Had nine points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal against Penn.
• Scored six points with three rebounds, an assist and a career-high three steals at home against Harvard.
At the Webb School HS
• Was a two-time all-state selection at the Webb School of Knoxville.
• Whiteside earned district player of the year honors as a senior after helping the team to a spot in the state semifinals.
• Helped guide his team to three state final four appearances.
• Averaged 14.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game as a junior while tying for the team lead in 3-pointers made (45).

• Troy Donovan Whiteside is the son of Troy and Jacqueline Whiteside and has a brother.
• Older brother Donovan played basketball at Centre College.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
