At Cornell
Junior (2016): Mahler saw the first significant playing time of his career as the Big Red’s back-up face off man. On the season, he won 30-of-48 restarts for a .625 winning percentage. Mahler also picked up 14 ground ball s on the year (2.0 per game).  He earned his first collegiate start at Penn, going 12-of-18 in the circle (.667) and scoring his first collegiate goal vs. the Quakers. Mahler was also a perfect 8-of-8 with six ground balls in a 13-12 win at Lehigh.

Sophomore (2015): Mahler saw action in two games during his sophomore season, playing vs. Dartmouth and Canisius. He was a perfect 5-for-5 in the face-off circle (1.000), including four wins vs. the Golden Griffins. He finished the season with two ground balls.

Freshman (2014): Mahler played in four games during his rookie season, seeing action vs. Canisius, Penn, Dartmouth, and Brown. He scored in his first collegiate game vs. the Golden Griffs. Mahler also registered two ground balls on the season. 

At St. Andrews School
A 2012 high school All-American, Mahler lettered four times at St. Andrew’s School, helping the squad to the 2010 and 2012 state championship. He was a four-time all-district selection and was named all-region as a junior and senior. Mahler also lettered once in football.

Personal
Grant Ernst Mahler is the son of Ernst and Karla Mahler and he has one younger brother. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
