As a junior (2017)
• Saw action in five games as a sophomore, playing vs. Penn State, Hobart, Dartmouth, Syracuse and Lehigh.
• Caused one turnover vs. the Nittany Lions and the Orange.
• Also picked up one ground ball against Penn State and Dartmouth.

As a sophomore (2016)
• Saw a jump in playing time during his sophomore season, seeing action in five games, including the final three contests of the year.
• Picked up one ground ball and caused three turnovers at Dartmouth.

As a freshman (2015)
• Saw action in one game during his rookie season, playing against Canisius.  

At Kent Denver School
• Lettered twice at Kent Denver School.
• Served as team captain as a senior.
• Led the team in ground balls and caused turnovers in both of his final two seasons. • Was named all-state following his senior season after earning All-Centennial Conference honorable mention honors as a junior.
• Was a member of 3d Colorado Select lacrosse.
• Won the 2013 Denver Shootout and was an all-star selection.
• Was also named the MVP at the 2013 Delaware Championship.
• Lettered once in ice hockey.
 
Personal
• Matthew James Pinto is the son of Marc and Margot Pinto and he has two brothers and one sister.
• Older brother, Adam, was a member of the Amherst College baseball team.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
