Biography
Freshman Season — 2015-16
Lozic was 5-6 in singles from the bottom two positions in the order during dual matches. He was the Big Red's most frequent entry from the No. 6 spot, which is where all of his victories were posted. His first collegiate dual victory broke a 3-all tie and clinched the Big Red's non-league win over Indiana on March 3. Lozic followed that up with two more victories over the following days on a tough road trip through Nebraska and Drake. He later notched his first Ivy League victory in straight sets against an opponent from Harvard on April 2. Lozic was also 1-4 in doubles, with his lone win coming while paired with Bernardo Casares Rosa in Ivy play against Yale on April 10. ... In fall tournaments, Lozic was 1-3 in singles and 0-2 in doubles.
Prior to Cornell
Lozic was ranked as high as 211th in the ITF World Junior Rankings and had many great wins in his junior career. In 2011, he defeated American and recent Wimbledon Junior champion Reilly Opelka at the prestigious Eddie Herr tournament. Lozic has won five matches in Futures qualifying.
Personal
Karlo Lozic is the son of Josko and Ines Lozic, and he has one brother. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
