As a Senior (2018)
• First-Team All-Ivy
• IWLCA Second Team All-Region
• Tied school record for draw controls in a single game (10) against Dartmouth.
• Ranks second in program history for draw controls in a single season (62) and fourth in career draw controls (115).
• Led team in draw controls, ground balls (31) and caused turnovers (22).
• Started all 15 games, adding in 18 goals and three assists.
• Took career-high seven shots at Princeton and caused career-high four turnovers versus the Big Green.
• Recorded hat tricks and game-winning goals against Ivy League opponents Columbia and Yale.
• Ended season with eight-game goal streak and registered at least one point in 10 matches.
• Had six multi-goal games and seven multi-point outings.
• Scored 50th goal and point against Yale.
As a Junior (2017)
• Continued to be a vital part of the Big Red midfield as a junior, playing in all 19 games with 18 starts, including the final 16. • On offense, contributed 13 points on eight goals and five assists.
• Was also a factor in Cornell’s defensive zone.
• Finished tied for third on the team with 14 caused turnovers and was fifth on the team with 27 ground balls.
• On April 15 at Dartmouth, had a season-high and career-high three caused turnovers and added four ground balls.
• Picked up a career-high five ground balls against Syracuse on April 18.
As a Sophomore (2016)
• Had a stellar breakout season as a sophomore, exploding for 31 points on 26 goals and five assists.
• Appearing in all 19 contests and starting 18, finished the season on a 14-game goal streak and scored in 17 total games in 2016.
• With a knack for scoring goals when the Big Red needed it most, had a career day at nationally ranked Penn State, scoring four goals to lead Cornell to a 10-7 statement win over the Nittany Lions.
• Also finished second on the team in draw controls with 42 and was solid on both sides of the ball, causing nine turnovers and picking up 28 ground balls.
• Helped the Big Red to its first Ivy League Tournament Championship, posting three goals, three ground balls and six draw controls on the weekend to earn All-Tournament Team honors.
• Was also named First-Team All-Ivy and was an IWLCA First-Team Regional All-American.
As a Freshman (2015)
• Appeared in all 16 games for the Big Red during her first season.
• Collected one draw control in her first collegiate game at Temple on 2/21.
• In home debut the following weekend, tallied her first collegiate goal and point against Albany (2/28).
• Collected her first career hat-trick in a victory at Columbia on 3/14.
• Finished the year with eight goals, while adding nine ground balls, three caused turnovers and seven draw controls.
Before Cornell
• Like several of her Class of 2018 peers, Coffy was also a three-sport athlete in high school.
• She participated in soccer and basketball, in addition to lacrosse, at the Hotchkiss School.
• She was an accomplished basketball player, gaining interest from collegiate programs in basketball as well.
• However, Coffy’s best sport was lacrosse, as she was a pivotal cog in the Bearcats march to the Founders League and Western New England Championships in three of her four seasons (2011, 2013, and 2014).
• She earned Western New England All-Star recognition in both her sophomore and senior seasons.
• At the conclusion of her senior season she was the recipient of the Goss Athletic Award, awarded to the senior girl who, in the opinion of the Athletic Director and coaches, has contributed the most to Hotchkiss athletics through her ability, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship.
Personal
• Jhoelle Coffy has six siblings. Her older sister Rochenelle '17 currently attends Cornell.
