Biography

As a senior (2019)

• Only player to start all 38 games, each time manning first base.
• Batted .214 with eight doubles, a triple, a home run. Ranked second on the team with 16 runs; third on the team with 15 RBI; and tied for third with six stolen bases.
• Batted .259 in Ivy League games with a team-best 13 runs scored.
• Tied for team lead with 10 multi-hit games, including 3-for-4 performance with a double, a stolen base and an RBI on April 20's second game against Princeton.
• Had six-game hitting streak from March 16-30, including a performance in March 24's second game at Columbia in which he was 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI.

As a junior (2018)

• Batted .231 over 32 games, including 27 starts at either first base or in the corner outfield.
• Tied for second on team with eight doubles, tied for third with two home runs.
• Had team's longest hitting streak of the season, spanning 11 games from March 18 to April 10.
• Hit first collegiate home run April 10 vs. Binghamton.
• Had monster 3-or-5 game April 21 at Penn with two doubles and two-run home run that ended up plating game-winning run.
• Two of three stolen bases came in season-ending series vs. Columbia.
 

As a sophomore (2017)

• Made 18 starts among his 28 appearances, primarily playing in left field and giving the Big Red a left-handed hitter in the lower half of the order.
• Batted .187 with seven doubles in just 75 at-bats.
• Was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in 2-1 victory on March 19 vs. Michigan State.
• Had four hits over the final three games of the April 15-16 series at Columbia.
 

As a freshman (2016)

• Appeared in 28 of the Big Red's 38 games, batting .229 with four doubles and 10 RBIs while playing third base or either of the corner outfield positions.
• Started season with a four-game hitting streak in non-league play, including a series-opening game at Bucknell in which he drove in three runs.
• Later went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs and a stolen base in an April 24 game at Penn, which was part of his season-high five-game hitting streak.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Section player of the year in 2015, also earning all-state honors and a spot on the Arizona Division 2 All-Star team. He was also an all-section honoree in 2014.
• Played club baseball with Arizona Prospects, which won the 2015 South West Wood Bat Classic and the 2014 and 2015 Arizona Summer Classic title.
• Served as president of the National Technical Honor Society
• Member of the National Honor Society.
 

Personal

• Josh Michael Arndt is the son of Dan and Lori Arndt, and he has a younger brother.
• Enrolled in the College of Engineering.
