Biography

Freshman Season — 2016
Fraser came on strong down the stretch for the Big Red, appearing in 26 games while serving as the team's primary designated hitter through Ivy League play. Sporadically used in March, Fraser's first collegiate home run was of the three-run variety March 30 at Rollins. He grabbed a starting role soon thereafter and went on a seven-game hitting streak, which tied for the team's second-longest on the season. Amidst that stretch were three consecutive two-hit games in the Big Red's series win against three-time defending Ivy League champion Columbia, and Fraser was subsequently named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week. His 18 RBIs ranked third on the team, and his .283 average in Ivy play was second-highest on the squad.

Prior to Cornell
Fraser was named the Savannah (Ga.) Morning News' Player of the Year in 2015, batting .458 with a .759 slugging percentage for Savannah Christian Prep. He was named to the all-region and all-city teams in each of the two years he was in Georgia. Fraser was presented the Headmaster's Award for having the highest GPA on the team as a senior, and he also graduated first in his class. He played club baseball with Game On Chain, where he was named MVP in 2014 and helped the squad win the Grand Slam World Series tournament in 2015. Fraser was invited to Team USA Baseball tournament tryouts in both 2014 and 2015.

Personal
Mark Gordon Fraser is the son of Gordon and Vicki Fraser. His grandfather, Frank Fraser Jr., also attended Cornell University. He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
