As a senior  (2017)
• Second-team All-Ivy League selection at linebacker.
• Earned first-team CoSIDA Academic All-District honors.
• Elected as a team captain in the preseason.
• Led the Big Red and ranked fourth in the Ivy League in tackles for loss (9.5).
• Posted 55 tackles, two sacks, two pass breakups and a forced fumble in nine games.
• Had three tackles for a loss in games against Delaware and Colgate, posting a pair of sacks against the Patriot League champion Raiders among 10 tackles.
• Forced a fumble and had seven total stops with one for a loss against Ivy champ Yale.
• Had seven tackles with 1.5 for a loss in the win at Princeton.
• Had eight tackles and a half-tackle for loss at Dartmouth.

As a junior (2016)
• Ranked second in the Ivy League and 24th nationally with three forced fumbles and 20th nationally and first in the Ancient Eight in fumble recoveries.
• Had 59 tackles and a team-high 6.0 for a loss with 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups, three forced fumbles and two fumbles recovered.
• Was all over the field in the 2016 opener at Bucknell, registering five tackles with a half-sack, a fumble recovery and a pass breakup.
• Had a tackle for loss in the win over Yale.
• Made a career-high 10 tackles, including 2.0 for a loss and a sack and had a safety in the Big Red’s 39-38 win at No. 25 Colgate.
• Also was in on a fourth-down stop that gave the Big Red the ball back with 90 seconds left, leading to Cornell’s game winning drive.
• Credited with six tackles, a forced fumble and a pass breakup at No. 16 Harvard.
• Notched four tackles and forced a fumble against Sacred Heart.
• Had six tackles with a tackle for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery at Brown.
• Made five stops vs. Princeton and had eight tackles with one for a loss against Dartmouth.
• Had nine tackles, including a half-tackle for a loss, in the win at Columbia.

As a sophomore (2015)
• Saw action in all 10 contests, registering 28 tackles with a sack.
• Made five tackles and his first career sack in the fourth quarter that knocked Columbia out of field goal range in a 3-0 win.
• Tied a career-best with four tackles against Yale.
• Was credited with three tackles at Sacred Heart and at Dartmouth.
• Notched three tackles against Colgate and two against Harvard.
• Made two tackles vs. Brown and had three at Princeton.
• Credited with a pair of tackles in the 2015 season opener against Bucknell.

As a freshman (2014)
• Saw action on special teams and as a reserve linebacker in each of the team’s first four games.
• Posted six total tackles on the year.
• Missed the final six games of the season due to injury.
• Credited with a career-best four stops at Ivy champ Harvard.
• Made a tackle at Bucknell and another vs. Yale.

At New Egypt HS
• A three-time all-conference linebacker, Frimel was a first-team all-area pick as a senior linebacker at New Egypt HS.
• A two-year captain, Frimel posted 160 tackles in just nine games as a senior (17.8 per game) and also paced the squad with 361 rushing yards and three scores at fullback.
• A four-year letter winner, he was named a National Football Foundation Scholar by the Delaware Valley Chapter as a senior and earned the mini-Maxwell Award as well.
• Frimel posted 87 tackles as a junior with two interceptions and three fumble recoveries.
• A three-sport athlete, who lettered twice as a catcher in baseball and was the sectional champion in discus as a junior on the track and field team.

Personal
• Kurt Christopher Frimel is the son of Ed Frimel and Kathy Chesmel and has a younger brother.
• He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
