Biography

As a senior (2017)
• Named to the 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-America and All-District first team.
• Earlier named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District first team.
• Ranked among the leaders on the defensive line with 29 tackles, including three for a loss and two sacks while playing all 10 contests.
• Posted eight tackles, including one for a loss, at penn in his final collegiate contest.
• Made four tackles with a sack and a forced fumble against Columbia.
• Credited with three tackles in the win over Harvard.
• Had a pair of tackles, including a sack, in the win over Brown.
• Had three tackles in the 2017 season opener at Delaware.
• Made two stops in the Ivy League opener at Yale and in the win at Princeton.
• One tackle each against Colgate and Bucknell.
• Made two stops at Dartmouth.

As a junior (2016)
• Named a Capital One second-team Academic All-American and a first-team academic all-district selection.
• Started all 10 contests for the Big Red at defensive end and was a driving force behind Cornell's three-game improvement (from 1-9 to 4-6).
• Posted 40 tackles, good for the team lead among defensive linemen, to go along with two sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss.
• Had seven tackles and a sack against Sacred Heart and was credited with a pair of tackles for loss with a sack in the win at Columbia.
• Will enter his senior season with 20 consecutive starts.

As a sophomore (2015)
• Started all 10 contests at defensive end, standing among the team leaders in tackles (40).
• Ranked second on the team with five tackles for loss and added a pair of fumble recoveries.
• Recorded six tackles and recovered a fumble in the shutout win over Columbia.
• Made a career-best 10 tackles at Dartmouth.
• Had a half-sack at Princeton.
• Made four tackles against both Sacred Heart and Brown.
• Had six tackles, including 2.5 for a loss, in the 2015 season opener against Bucknell.
• Had two tackles and recovered a fumble against Colgate.
• Made three tackles, including two for a loss, against Harvard.

As a freshman (2014)
• Played in six contests as a reserve at outside linebacker and on special teams, making three tackles with one for a loss.
• Earned his first varsity letter.
• Made one tackle for loss against Dartmouth.
• Saw significant time at Brown, registering two tackles.

At Highlands HS
• Hope was a two-time first-team all-state selection as a senior after helping lead Highlands HS to three state titles and a fourth runner-up finish.
• Hope was the Anthony Munoz Defensive Lineman of the Year for the state of Kentucky and was a two-time first-team all-league and Cincinnati Enquirer first-team all-star.
• He finished his senior campaign with 13.5 tackles for loss and five sacks en route to team defensive MVP honors.
• A National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award winner, Hope was a three-star recruit according to ESPN and ranked among the top 150 defensive end recruits in the country.
• As a junior, Hope recorded 74 tackles with 20.5 sacks on the season and dominated the state championship game with nine tackles and five sacks in the title contest.
• He also lettered in basketball.

Personal
• Seth Hope is the son of Steve and Shelley Hope and has a younger sister.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the SC Johnson College of Business.
