Biography

As a senior (2017)
• Saw action in all 10 contests as a senior, ranking fourth on the team in rushing (170 yards) with a team-best three touchdowns.
• Completed 14-of-21 passes for 128 yards and a touchdown on the season.
• Scored on a pair of 2-yard touchdowns runs in the win over Harvard, the first two of his career.
• Connected on a 9-yard touchdown pass to Davy Lizana against Bucknell.
• Ran six times for 42 yards in the win over Brown.
• Had career highs of 12 carries and 61 yards with a rushing touchdown and completed 4-of-5 passes for 31 yards in the victory at Princeton.
• Completed one pass for 22 yards in the season opener at Delaware.
• Was 3-of-8 passing for 45 yards and run once for seven yards in the Ivy opener at Yale.
• Ran for 18 yards on five carries vs. Columbia.

As a junior (2016)
• Spent the season as the team’s backup quarterback.
• Had one rush for a yard in the Homecoming win over Yale.
• Had two carries for six yards in the Empire State Bowl win at Columbia, completing a 33-yard pass in his only pass attempt.
• Also earned playing time in five other games.

As a sophomore (2015)
• Opened his sophomore season as the team’s backup quarterback.
• Had 46 yards on seven carries against Columbia, including a game-clinching 16 yard run on the final drive.
• Posted a career-best 48 yards on four carries, including a career-long 42-yard run, against Brown.
• Posted 48 yards of total offense at Princeton.
• Ran eight times for a career-high 24 yards at Sacred heart and completed one pass for 18 yards.
• Saw action at Yale, carrying six times for 17 yards.
• Had two rushes for five yards and was intercepted once against Colgate.
• Completed 2-of-3 passes for five yards against Harvard.

As a freshman (2014)
• Two-time Ivy League Rookie of the Week after earning starts against Bucknell and Harvard.
• Played in six contests this season with five starts.
• Missed three games due to injury.
• Became the second Cornell freshman to earn a start at quarterback, joining record-setting two-time All-American Jeff Mathews ‘14.
• Ran for a career-high 24 yards on five carries at Brown.
• Was 8-of-23 passing for 103 yards and a touchdown against Lehigh.
• Hit on 14-of-22 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown in a loss at reigning Ivy champ Harvard.
• Completed 11-of-23 passes for 102 yards and a touchdown and ran for an additional 20 yards in the loss to the Bison.
• Completed all three passes for 50 yards, including a 39-yard completion, and ran the ball four times for 29 yards at Colgate.

At Crown Point HS
• A two-time first-team all-conference pick, Jatis earned honorable mention all-state accolades in his final season.
• He completed 149-of-270 passes for 1,941 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior captain en route to all-area honors from the Times of Northwest Indiana (first team) and the Indianapolis Star (honorable mention).
• He earned an invitation to play in the area’s North-South senior all-star game.
• Jatis also played three years of varsity baseball, earning all-area and all-conference honors.

• Jake Michael Jatis is the son of Jeff and Maria Jatis and has a younger sister.
• He is enrolled in the School of Hotel Administration.
