Biography
As a sophomore (2017)
• Saw action in 12 games as a sophomore.
• Started the first four games of the season before moving into a role on the team’s man-down defense.
• Picked up three ground balls and caused two turnovers on the year.
As a freshman (2016)
• Despite missing the fall season, played in 12 games during his rookie campaign.
• Earned three starts on the Big Red’s defensive unit.
• Finished the season with nine ground balls and three caused turnovers.
• Had a season-high two ground balls vs. Harvard and a season-high two caused turnovers at Lehigh.
Prior to Cornell
• Was an Under Armor All-American and the 2014 MSG Varsity Player of the Year.
• Had a decorated lacrosse career at Delbarton School.
• Ranked the ninth best player overall, and third best defenseman, in the Inside Lacrosse Top 50 Young Gun Senior rankings in 2013.
• Competed in ice hockey for four seasons with Delbarton.
• Helped the Green Wave ice hockey team to state championships in 2011 and 2012.
• Was named first-team all-state and to the New Jersey Devils all-tournament team in 2014.
• Spent the 2014-15 season in the USPHL, where he posted 13 points through 32 games with the South Shore Kings and Philadelphia Flyers.
Personal
• Charles Ferdinand Otterman is the son of Tim and Judith Otterman, and he has two brothers.
• Father, Tim, played volleyball at UCLA.
• Grandfather, Lloyd, played football at USC.
• Drother, Andrew, plays football at Northwestern.
• Has two cousins who also attend Cornell.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
