As a Senior (2016-17)
Smith appeared in all 34 of Cornell’s contests in her final season, recording four points on a career-high four assists while playing a pivotal role on the Big Red blue-line. Smith, who finished her career tied for the fifth most games played in program history (132), blocked the fourth-most shots on the team with a career-high 42 and finished with a plus-3 rating. Smith assisted on Hanna Bunton’s game-winning tally in a 4-0 win over Brown on Nov. 11 and also had a two-game point streak with helpers in wins over Providence on Jan. 7 and Syracuse on Jan. 10.
As a Junior (2015-16)
Smith once again served as an incredibly versatile player for the Big Red, spending time at both forward and defense throughout the season. She finished with four points on one goal and three assists. She picked up helpers in a 5-2 win over Syracuse on Nov. 14, in a 3-3 tie with Colgate on Nov. 17 and in a 4-2 victory over Boston University that helped the Big Red win the Windjammer Classic. Smith added an insurance goal in an important 4-2 win over Yale on Feb. 13.
As a Sophomore (2014-15)
Smith posted a career year in her second season for the Big Red. Playing a versatile role – serving time on the blue-line and at forward – she tallied new career highs for goals, assists, and points. Although it took her 51 games to tally her first collegiate goal, she marked four over a five-game stretch when she was bumped up to a forward role in January. She tallied goals in consecutive games against Brown (1/17) and Dartmouth (1/23), while she scored in back-to-back contests against Union (1/30) and RPI (1/31). Smith tallied her first career multi-point game against the Engineers with one goal and two assists.
As a Freshman (2013-14)
Smith, a key factor in the defensive end, was the only Big Red freshman to record time in all 34 games this season. She finished the season with two assists, one Nov. 16 at Dartmouth and one Jan. 3 at Brown. She had 25 blocks on the season.
