At Cornell

Career: Megan LeDuc was a workhorse for the Big Red women’s basketball team during her time at Cornell. She ran the Big Red offense in her final three seasons. LeDuc got her first All-Ivy honorable mention honor after an outstanding senior campaign.

During her career, LeDuc played at least 40 minutes in eleven contests, good for fourth overall in Cornell history. She was also one of only twelve Cornell players to hand out ten assists in a game, doing so twice in her career. She graduated as one of just five players in Cornell history to amass at least 800 points and 300 assists.

LeDuc saw a significant increase in playing time from her freshman to sophomore season, moving into a starting role as a sophomore and seeing action in all 28 games. She also matched the Cornell single-game record with eight steals, becoming the second player in Big Red history to register eight steals against a Division I opponent. Her junior season brought a first place ranking in the Ivy League with 4.2 assists per game. LeDuc also garnered 118 assists as a junior, eighth in Cornell history for assists in a single season.

LeDuc’s prime season was as a senior. She ranked first in the Ivy League and 28th in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage. She also finished the season as the team’s leading 3-point shooter with her 54 treys, ranking fourth in Cornell history for a single season.

She left the Big Red ranked in the top 20 in Big Red history for career points (20th), assists (sixth), assist average (10th), 3-point field goals made (fourth), 3-point field goal percentage (15th), defensive rebounds (16th), steals (17th), games played (third), games started (12th), and minutes played (eighth).

Junior (2015-16): LeDuc served as team captain during a junior season in which she started all 28 games and handed out 118 assists, good for eighth all-time in Cornell history for assists in a single season.  She finished the year ranked first in the Ivy League with 4.2 assists per game, and was fourth overall with a 1.7 assist/turnover ratio. LeDuc handed out nine or more assists four times on the season, including a career-high 10 assists, with no turnovers, vs. Penn on Feb. 26. She had an incredible stretch of 134:48 without a turnover that began vs. Dartmouth on Feb. 19 and ended vs. Yale on March 4. During that time, she handed out 16 assists. LeDuc also ranked among the Ivy League leaders in scoring (24th – 8.6), 3-point FG percentage (fourth – .388), 3-point FGM (13th – 1.4 per game) and minutes played (fourth – 34.1 per game). She scored in double-figures seven times, including one 20+ point performance, and led the team in rebounding four times. LeDuc was named the Ivy League Player of the Week on Jan. 18 after matching a then career-high 19 points at Columbia on 7-of-10 shooting. She went on to establish a new career-high with 20 points and matched a career-high with eight rebounds vs. Yale on Feb. 6. 

Sophomore (2014-15): LeDuc saw a significant increase in playing time during her sophomore season, moving into a starting role and getting the nod in all 28 games. She played at least 40 minutes in eight contests and led the Ivy League in minutes per game (35.9). She finished the year ranked in the top 20 of the Ivy League in assists per game (fourth – 3.3 apg.), assist/turnover ratio (fourth – 1.5 per game). 3-point FGM (ninth – 1.3 per game), 3-point FG percentage (12th – .266) and steals (13th – 1.3 spg.). LeDuc was also third on the team and 22nd in the conference in scoring with 8.0 points per game. She matched the Cornell single-game record with eight steals vs. Columbia on Jan. 17, becoming just the second player in Big Red history to register eight steals against a Division I opponent. LeDuc led the team in assists on 11 occasions, including matching a career-high with eight vs. Drexel and Columbia (Jan. 17). She scored in double-digits 11 times and led the team in scoring twice, including a career-high 19 points at Colgate. LeDuc also led the Big Red in rebounding once with a career-high eight rebounds vs. Buffalo.
 
Freshman (2013-14): LeDuc had a solid freshman season, seeing action in all 28 games and averaging 11.5 minutes per contest. She averaged 2.2 points, 1.3 assists, and 0.8 rebounds per game. LeDuc handed out at least three assists five times during the season and registered a career-high eight helpers at Buffalo to go along with five points and two rebounds. She saw her first collegiate action vs. Colgate and went 3-for-4 for a career-high eight points in just 10 minutes of action.

At James Madison HS
A four-year letter winner at James Madison high school, LeDuc served as team captain during her final two campaigns. She earned All-Met honorable mention and was a first-team All-Northern Region and a first-team All-Liberty District selection in her junior and senior seasons. LeDuc helped her team to three Liberty District Championships, earning all-tournament team honors three times, including being named tournament MVP as a senior.  She was also a Northern Regional All-Tournament team selection in 2012. LeDuc also played for the Premier Sports Performance Academy (PSPA), serving as team captain for four seasons and helping the team to the Virginia Commonwealth Championship in 2011.

Personal
Megan Danielle LeDuc is the daughters of Ed LeDuc and Sandy Newett and she has three brothers. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
