As a senior (2018)
• Selected All-Ivy League first team second baseman, becoming program's sixth player to earn a spot on the first team twice — and the first to do it at multiple positions.
• Led team with .310 average, 49 hits and 11 stolen bases, while also tying for team lead with 29 runs as primary lead-off hitter and everyday second baseman.
• Nine stolen bases was second-most in Ivy League games.
• Ranked 11th in Ivy League play with .319, which was third among middle infielders.
• Had multiple hits in nine of final 16 games, including 4-for-4 effort in season finale May 13 vs. Columbia.
• Reached base safely in 34 of team's 37 games.
• Posted nine-game hitting streak from April 21 to May 5 and an eight-game hitting streak from March 3-28.
• Very dependable defensively, making just two errors for .988 fielding percentage.
• Led team with 15 multiple-hit games and .377 average with runners on base. 

As a junior (2017)
• Selected as lone shortstop on All-Ivy League first team.
• Ranked fourth in the Ivy League among qualifying batters with a .369 average, including a team-high 48 hits. Also had nine doubles, a triple,10 RBI and a team-high seven stolen bases.
• After becoming team's leadoff hitter on April 1, reached base in all of the team's final 23 games. Finished the season on a seven-game hitting streak.
• Led the team with 28 walks against just 13 strikeouts.
• Average of 0.74 walks per game led the Ivy League and ranked 67th in the country.
• On base percentage (.478) was tops in the Ivy League and 16th in the country.
• Led the team with 17 multiple-hit games.

Prior to Cornell
• Joins the Big Red after two seasons in the middle infield at College of San Mateo.
• Batted .301 and had more walks than strikeouts during the 2015 season to earn all-conference honors, then was tied for the team lead with 12 stolen bases in 2016 when he was placed on the academic all-state team.
• At Naperville North HS, was an all-area selection in 2014 and a two-time all-conference selection.  

Personal
• Ryan Michael Krainz is the son of John and Jill Krainz, and he has a younger sister.
• Enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
