As a senior (2019)

• Played in all 10 contests on the defensive line, earning three starts.
• Has 16 tackles with 2.5 sacks and a pass breakup.
• Made a career-best five tackles, including his first sack, against the Hoyas in his first collegiate start.
• Had two stops at Harvard and three vs. Brown.
• Made one tackle and broke up a pass against Colgate.
• Made a pair of stops against No. 12 Princeton.
• Notched three tackles, including 1.5 sacks, at Penn.
• Recorded three tackles and a quarterback hurry in the win over No. 12 Dartmouth.
• Had one tackle in the Senior Day win over Columbia.
 

As a junior (2018)

• Played in nine games as a reserve on the defensive line.
• Registered 11 tackles on the year.
• Made a pair of tackles in the win over Sacred Heart.
• Had two stops at No. 17 Colgate and another in the win at Brown.
• Made two tackles in the season finale at Columbia.

As a sophomore (2017)

• Saw action in 10 games with a start, making 15 tackles with a half-sack and a blocked kick.
• Earned the start in the 2017 season opener at Delaware, blocking a field goal attempt.
• Made two tackles at Yale in the Ivy League opener.
• Had one stop against Colgate.
• Posted three tackles, including a half-sack, in the win over Harvard.
• Notched a career-best four tackles against Bucknell.
• Had one stop each against both Dartmouth and Columbia.
 

As a freshman (2016)

• Was one of the top defensive players on the junior varsity as a freshman.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Gillooley was named honorable mention all-state and first-team all-area by the Albany Times Union after recording 76 tackles as a senior at Shenendehowa HS.
• He was named a first-team Empire Division all-star and started for the North at the Exceptional Seniors game.
• He was also a member of a state championship basketball squad as a senior, helping his team to a pair of sectional and regional titles as a letter winner.
• Gillooley also lettered twice in baseball.
 

Personal

• Michael David Gillooley is the son of Mick and Teresa Gillooley and has a younger sister.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the SC Johnson College of Business.
