As a sophomore (2018)
• Did not play due to injury.

As a freshman (2017)
• Played in 10 games as a rookie before suffering a season-ending injury.
• Saw action on the second offensive line midfield and finished the year with three points.
• Tallied one goal vs. Dartmouth and Harvard.
• Handed out one assist vs. Syracuse.
• Also picked up four ground balls, including a season-high two vs. Yale.
• Caused one turnover on the season.
 
Prior to Cornell
• A US Lacrosse High School All-American.
• Earned five varsity letters at Penn Yan Academy.
• As a senior captain, he led the Mustangs to a Section V championship and a New York State Class C runner-up finish.
• Was a two-time first-team All-Section V selection and earned three Section V (Class C) All-Tournament team honors, including being named the tournament MVP as junior.
• Was a two-time Democrat & Chronicle All-Greater Rochester Super 16 selection, after being named an honorable mention selection as a sophomore.
• Was selected for the Herb Fitch Exceptional Senior All Star Game.
• Won the Penn Yan Academy Coaches Award as a senior and took home the Penn Yan Lacrosse Alumni Award as a junior.
• Lettered three times in basketball and twice in football at Penn Yan, serving as team captain for both teams.
• On the gridiron, he was named All-NYS Team / Class B honorable mention (LB), as well as Finger Lakes East first team (OLB & punter), and honorable mention (WR).
• Was a Section V second-team selection in basketball for the 2014-15 season.   
Personal
• Austin Robert Fingar is the son of Robert and Dianne Fingar and he has two younger brothers.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
