As a senior (2020)
• Did not play (season shortened due to COVID-19).
As a junior (2019)
• Saw action in five contests as a reserve attackman and posted a goal, an assist, two ground balls and a caused turnover.
• Saw extended time in a win over St. Bonaventure, registering a career-high two points on a goal and an assist.
• His score against the Bonnies was his first collegiate goal.
• He added a ground ball and a caused turnover in the win.
• Recorded one ground ball against Penn State.
• Also saw time vs. Penn, Harvard and Princeton.
As a sophomore (2018)
• Did not play due to injury.
As a freshman (2017)
• Saw action in six games as a rookie, making his first collegiate start vs. Yale.
• Registered one assist on the season.
• Picked up two ground balls.
Prior to Cornell
• A 2016 US Lacrosse All-American and an Under Armour Senior All-American.
• Lettered four times at Victor high school.
• Served as team captain as a senior.
• Over his final two seasons, helped the Blue Devils to a 44-0 record, back-to-back NYS Championships, and a top five national ranking.
• Named the Section V Offensive MVP.
• Graduated as Victor’s all-time points (249) and assists (115) leader.
Personal
• Ryan Patrick Maloney is the son of John and Michele Maloney.
• Brother, John, was an All-American lacrosse player for Albany and is now on their staff as an assistant coach.
• Sister, Megan, played lacrosse for Canisius College.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the SC Johnson College of Business.
