At Cornell
Career

A two-time team captain and third-team USILA All-American in 2018, Pulver was named the Senior CLASS Award winner for men’s lacrosse after leading the Big Red to an Ivy League Tournament championship and a spot in the NCAA Men's Lacrosse quarterfinals. A three-time All-Ivy defender, including a unanimous first-team selection in 2018, he earned a reputation as one of the best cover men in the conference and finished his senior season nationally ranked in caused turnovers. He graduated ranked eighth in Cornell history with 38 caused turnovers. A four-year starter, he helped the Big Red to an Ivy League Tournament championship (2018), an Ivy League title (2015) and a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances (2015, 2018). 

As a junior (2017)
• Served as captain during his junior season.
• Repeated as a second-team All-Ivy selection.
• One of the best cover men in the conference, was routinely tasked with shutting down the opponent’s best player.
• Finished the year with seven caused turnovers and 28 ground balls.
• Posted a season-high five ground balls vs. Colgate and had a season-high two caused turnovers vs. Penn.

As a sophomore (2016)
• Named second-team All-Ivy honors.
• Anchor of a defense that helped the Big Red hold its Ivy League opponents to nearly 10 fewer shots per game than their season average (36.3 spg).
• Helped Cornell to the third best goals-against average in the conference (10.2).
• Finished the year with 16 ground balls and six caused turnovers.
• Posted a season-high four ground balls against Lehigh and Brown.
• Also had a season-high two caused turnovers vs. Penn State.

As a freshman (2015)
• Saw the most playing time of any freshman during the 2015 season as a member of the Big Red’s defensive unit that ranked second in the Ivy League by allowing just 9.94 goals per game.
• The defense was even better in conference play, ranking first in the league by allowing just 8.60 goals per contest.
•  Picked up eight ground balls and caused four turnovers on the season.
• Registered a season-high two ground balls against both Harvard and Princeton during the Ivy League Tournament, while registering two caused turnovers vs. Dartmouth. 
 
At Fayetteville-Manlius HS
• A 2014 US Lacrosse All-American and a 2013 Under Armour All America Lacrosse Underclassmen selection.
• Was named the 2014 US Lacrosse Bob Scott Award winner, recognizing players that go above and beyond in service to his team, school and community.
• Lettered three times for Fayetteville-Manlius high school.
• Served as team captain as a senior.
• Won his team’s David Volles Memorial Award as team MVP, as well as the FM Hornet Award, given to the lacrosse player who demonstrates the most amount of leadership, and the Harold Southworth Memorial Award given to the male athlete that demonstrates exemplary athletic, academic and character achievement. 
• Following his senior season, he was named the 2014 All-CNY Player of the Year, as well as All-CNY first-team, and CNYCL all-league. 
• In 2014, helped FM win the CNYCL League championship, the Section III championship, the regional championship, and the upstate championship.
• The 2014 team went on to be a finalist in the state championship game.
• In 2013, he was a first-team CNYCL all-league selection after helping FM to the CNYCL championship.
• Was a three-time NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete and won FM’s Athletic Award for Excellence in Lacrosse three times.
• Won FM’s Gaggin Award in both 2013 and 2014, given to the player that knocks the stick out of their opponents' hands the most.
• Was selected to the 2012 Upstate Rising Lacrosse Team.
• Lettered in football, basketball and track, winning numerous awards and honors in football. 
 
Personal
• Jacob Christopher Pulver is the son of Christopher and Rebecca Pulver and he has two brothers and one sister.
• Brother, Josh, plays lacrosse for Syracuse.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
