Biography

As a senior (2019-20)

• Played in 21 games while making three starts during her senior campaign.
• Averaged 2.5 points, 2.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.
• Finished the season ranked third on the team in steals and fourth in assists.
• Her season steals per game average ranked 15th in the Ivy League at the end of the season.
• Was a prolific passer for the Big Red over the course of her career, ranking 10th all-time in career assist average (2.7/game).
• Scored a season-high 11 points at Delaware State on Nov. 23, shooting 4-of-6 from the field and 2-of-4 from behind the arc.
• Secured a season-high four rebounds on two occasions against Delaware State on Nov. 23 and Columbia on Jan. 18.
• Notched a season-best five assists two separate times, including in her first start of the season against Harvard on Feb. 14 when she filled the stat sheet with eight points and four steals.
• Posted four steals on four occasions.

As a junior (2018-19)

• Started all 26 games on the season and averaged 29.8 minutes per contest.
• Led the Big Red and ranked ninth in the conference in assists per game (3.2).
• Second on the team and sisth in the Ivy League in steals per game (1.6).
• Posted the sixth best assist/turnover ratio in the Ivy League (1.6). 
• Handed out 5+ assists six times during the season.
• Scored in double-digits once with 14 points vs. UMass Lowell.
• Posted a career-high three 3-pointers at Binghamton.

As a sophomore (2017-18)

• Started all 27 games at point guard and averaged a team-high 32.5 minutes per game, a mark good for 10th in the Ivy League.
• Finished the year ranked first on the team and sixth in the Ancient Eight with 3.6 assists per game
• Had the sixth best assist/turnover ratio in the conference (1.0)
• Ranked second on the team and seventh in the Ivy League with 1.7 steals per game.
• Finished the year averaging 5.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.
• Posted a season-high 10 assists, tied for eighth in Cornell history, vs. Lafayette.
• Scored in double-digits four time on the year with a season-high 17 points vs. Lehigh.
• Earned her first career start at Loyola and amassed more assists vs. the Greyhounds (6) than she had during her entire injury-shortened 2016-17 season.

As a freshman (2016-17)

• Saw action in nine games before enduring a season-ending injury at Youngstown State.
• Was the first player off the bench vs. Loyola and Drexel and averaged 7.8 minutes per contest.
• Scored her first collegiate points in the season-opener vs New Hampshire.
• Finished her rookie campaign with 20 points, 10 rebounds, four steals, three blocks and two assists.
• Was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week following the Big Red’s win at Youngstown State.
• Was having the best game of her young career vs. the Penguins before succumbing to injury on the final play of the first half, when she registered a critical steal to set up Cornell's basket at the buzzer to send the visitors into halftime with the 36-34 lead. In just 11 minutes of action in the first half, she registered six points, shooting 66.7 percent, had one assist, one block, and one steal with no turnovers.

Prior to Cornell

• Earned five varsity letters at Orono high school, where she set the school record for steals, ranks second all-time in assists, and registered 1,249 career points.
• As a senior captain, she was selected as a Miss Minnesota Basketball Final 12 and was a Class AAA All-State honoree.
• Made the Minneapolis StarTribune All-Metro third team, was a Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association (MGBCA) All-Star selection, and was named a MGBCA Academic All-Star as a senior.
• Led Orono to three Wright County Conference (WCC) championships and the team finished third in Class AAA during her junior season.
• Also lettered four times in soccer and three times in track.
• Helped her soccer team to the Minnesota Class A State Championship as a junior before a runner-up finish as a senior.
• As a member of the Orono high school track team she set a school record in the 4x400.

Personal

• Danielle Rianne Jorgenson is the daughter of Robert and Geri Jorgenson and she has two brothers.
• Enrolled in the College of Engineering.
