Biography
As a junior (2020)
• Did not play (season shortened due to COVID-19).
As a sophomore (2019)
• Played in 12 games as a sophomore.
• Won 35-of-81 face-offs on the year (.432).
• Posted a positive winning percentage vs. St. Bonaventure (5-of-5), Dartmouth (8-of-12) and Brown (3-of-5).
• Registered 17 ground balls on the season.
• Picked up a season-high four ground balls vs. Dartmouth.
As a freshman (2018)
• Saw action in 10 games as a rookie as one of the team’s face-off specialists.
• Won 38-of-101 restarts (.376) on the year.
• Had his best performance against Princeton, winning 7-of-14 face-offs.
• Was outstanding against Yale in the Ivy League Tournament, winning 10-of-22 face-offs and picking up a season-high eight ground balls.
Prior to Cornell
• Earned three varsity letters in lacrosse at Delbarton School.
• Helped Delbarton to consecutive New Jersey Non Public A State Championships.
• Won a New Jersey TOC Championship in 2016.
• Also earned three varsity letters in football.
• Served as team captain for both football and lacrosse.

• Luca Doeke Geert Tria is the son of Nicholas Tria and Jeltje VanWieren and he has two brothers.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
