Biography

As a senior (2018)

• Ranked fourth in the Ivy League in passing yards, passing touchdowns and total offense and was third in completion percentage.
• Led the Ivy in passing yards and completions and was second in touchdowns in conference games.
• Completed 70 percent of his passes or better in five games in 2018, including 4-of-7 Ivy games.
• Ranked second among Ivy in quarterback rushing and added 2 touchdowns on the ground.
• Connected on 16-of-23 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown while also running for 24 yards on seven carries against Yale.
• Hit on 7-of-9 passes for 90 yards and a touchdown and also ran for a score in the win over Sacred Heart.
• Threw for 201 yards and the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter win over Harvard.
• Tossed three touchdowns while completing 19-of-26 passes for 265 yards in the win at Brown.
• Threw for one touchdown and had 229 yards of total offense vs. Penn.

• Hit on 26-of-45 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns in the Ivy League opener at Yale.
• Completed 23-of-35 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown, hitting 12 different receivers.
• Completed 11-of-14 passes for 117 yards in the win over Harvard.
• Was 22-of-43 passing for 239 yards and ran for a touchdown against Colgate.
• Connected on 17-of-28 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown without a turnover against Bucknell.
• Was 19-of-26 passing for 228 yards and added 15 rushing yards in the win over Brown.
• Was an efficient 23-of-29 for 171 yards and a touchdown in the win at Princeton.
• Hit on 15-of-36 passes for 184 yards in a loss at Dartmouth.

• Led Ivy League (33rd nationally) in passing touchdowns (18) and accounted for 23 total scores (five rushing).
• Second in conference in passing yards per game (251.4, 22nd nationally).
• Third in the Ivy League, 34th nationally in points responsible for (138).
• Second in Ivy League, 23rd nationally in total offense (265.5).
• Picked up the start in the 2016 opener at Bucknell, completing 17-of-24 passes for 160 yards and a score and running for two more in the 24-16 win.
• Named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week after completing 23-of-32 passes for 306 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for another 20 yards in a win over Yale.
• Completed 25-of-45 passes for 454 yards and four touchdowns, including the game-winning 19-yard scoring pass with 0:28 left, in a 39-38 win at No. 25 Colgate.
• Threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns at No. 16 Harvard.
• Ran for a career-high 87 yards and a touchdown against Sacred Heart.
• Credited with three touchdown passes at Brown.
• Was 25-of-40 passing for 214 yards and a touchdown against Princeton.
• Was 28-of-43 passing for 216 yards and a touchdown against Dartmouth.
• Completed 24-of-37 passes for 267 yards and two touchdowns while running for a third in the Big Red’s Empire State Bowl win over Columbia.
• Threw for 322 yards and two touchdowns against Ivy champion Penn.
 

As a freshman (2015)

• Banks spent his freshman season on the scout team and competed in junior varsity games at quarterback.

At Alamo Heights HS

• Banks was named the Offensive Player of the Year in San Antonio as a senior at Alamo Heights HS.
• He was a two-time district MVP and a two-time all-area pick, including a first team selection as a senior captain.
• Banks threw for 2,439 yards and 28 touchdowns against just six interceptions as a senior while completing 63 percent of his passes.
• He ran for 596 yards and 10 scores as well in guiding his team to the second round of state playoffs.
• He was named academic all-state as a senior.
• Chosen to play in the San Antonio Sports All-Star Game for the East team in the Alamodome.
• Banks was named San Antonio Newcomer of the year as a junior after helping his team to the state quarterfinals.
• Passed for 3,334 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior while rushing for 286 yards and eight Touchdowns.
• Also played varsity baseball.
 

Personal

• Dalton Baker Banks is the son of Thomas and Heather Williamson and has a younger brother and sister.
• His mom played volleyball at Baylor.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the SC Johnson College of Business.
