As a junior (2019)

• Played in each of the team's first four games with two starts at running back, compiling 21 yards on eight carries with a pair of catches for 15 yards.
• Earned a start in the Big Red's opening weekend win at Marist, rushing twice for 11 yards.
• Carried once for two yards and caught a nine-yard pass at Ivy preseason favorite Yale.
• Had one carry for four yards vs. Georgetown.
• Credited with four rushes for four yards at Harvard while picking up the start.
• Missed the remainder of the season due to injury.
 

As a sophomore (2018)

• Saw action in nine games, rushing for 205 yards on 50 carries and catching seven passes for 17 yards.
• Made his varsity debut at Delaware, earning one rush and catching a pass for a total of 9 yards.
• Had a career-high 55 yards on 14 carries in the win over Sacred Heart.
• Made three receptions for 16 yards and caught one pass for 6 yards in the win over Harvard.
• Had 26 yards on seven carries at No. 17 Colgate.
• Credited with 71 rushing yards on 11 carries in the win at Brown in front of more than 30 family and friends.
• Had five carries for 13 yards at No. 17 Princeton and two for 5 yards vs. No. 23 Dartmouth.

As a freshman (2017)

• Did not see varsity action.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Earned second-team all-state honors as a senior at Bishop Hendricken HS after rushing for 719 yards and 11 touchdowns.
• Was part of three consecutive state championship teams, including posting a 23-1 cumulative record in his final two seasons.
• Was a two-time academic all-league pick.
• Captained the Rhode Island Senior All-Star game.
• Earned the U.S. Army Athletic Leadership Award as a senior.
• Piled up 961 career rushing yards with 13 touchdowns.
 

Personal

• Jake Raymond Derderian is the son of Jeffrey and Linda Derderian and has a twin brother.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
