Biography

As a senior (2019)

• Had 29 catches for 443 yards and a touchdown in 10 games (six starts).
• Second on the team in receptions and receiving yards.
• Caught two passes for 27 yards and returned a kickoff 17 yards in the season-opening win at Marist.
• Hauled in three passes for 25 yards at Ivy preseason favorite Yale.
• Made three catches for 30 yards against Georgetown and hauled in a 2-yard pass at Harvard.
• Credited with three receptions for 78 yards, including a 51-yard catch, vs. Colgate.
• Posted eight catches for 110 yards in the win over Brown for his second 100-yard receiving game, becoming the 24th player in school history to reach 1,000 career receiving yards in the process.
• Caught four passes for 67 yards at Penn.
• Hauled in four passes for 97 yards and the game-winning touchdown in the victory at No. 12 Dartmouth.
• Graduates No. 19 on the school’s all-time receivers list with 1,209 yards.
 

As a junior (2018)

• Led the team in receptions (29) and receiving yards (455) to go along with a pair of touchdowns.
• Saw action in nine games.
• Hauled in five catches for a career-high 112 yards and caught the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter in the win over Harvard.
• Caught four passes for 56 yards at No. 17 Colgate.
• Made six catches for 79 yards and a touchdown at Brown.
• Had three receptions for 36 yards vs. Penn.
• Posted game highs of five receptions for 67 yards against No. 23 Dartmouth.
• Credited with three receptions for 79 yards at Columbia in the season finale.

As a sophomore (2017)

• Played in all 10 contests, leading the team in receptions (34) and ranking second in receiving yards (327).
• Caught one touchdown.
• Had his first career reception at Delaware in his first varsity game.
• Hauled in his first career touchdown reception with a 4-yard catch against Bucknell.
• Made two catches for 34 yards in the win over Harvard, including a key 30-yard reception on the game-tying scoring drive.
• Caught five passes for a game and career-high 82 yards at Dartmouth.
• Made six receptions for 50 yards vs. Columbia.
• Had a game-high five catches for 65 yards in the win over Brown.
• Caught five passes for 50 yards against Colgate.
• Hauled in a career-best six passes for 24 yards in the victory at Princeton.
 

As a freshman (2016)

• Competed on the junior varsity and on the scout team as a safety before moving to wide receiver during spring ball.
 

Prior to Cornell

• An all-met and all-league wide receiver at Our Lady of Good Counsel HS, Peters earned an invitation to play in the Maryland All-America Crab Bowl game.
• Peters caught 33 passes for 587 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior and made 36 tackles at safety.
• A two-star prospect from Rivals.com, he was an honorable mention all-state pick by DMV Elite as an athlete.
Peters was a 2015 National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete.
 

Personal

• Owen Thomas Peters is the son of Jeff and Kathy Peters and has two older sisters.
• His sister, Caroline, played lacrosse at Vanderbilt and Boston College.
• His grandfather, Bernie O'Rourke, played lacrosse at Maryland and his cousin, Riley Peters, played lacrosse at Fairfield.
• He is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
