Biography
As a senior (2020)
• Played in five contests as a reserve, scoring one goal and winning a ground ball.
• Made her season debut in the win over Marist.
• Scored once at No. 25 Penn State.
• Won a ground ball at Colgate.
As a junior (2019)
• Played in 11 contests, scoring a goal and adding an assist as a reserve.
• Was also credited with a ground ball and a caused turnover.
• Netted two points in a win over Binghamton, adding a caused turnover to his goal and assist.
• Won a ground ball in a victory over Rutgers.
As a sophomore (2018)
• Saw her role grow tremendously, starting in four games while appearing in 11 contests overall.
• Registered six points from five goals and one assist.
• Picked up nine ground balls and caused one turnover.
• Made first-career start against Yale, scoring her first-career goal as well.
• Netted the game winner versus Rutgers.
• Also added in an assist against the Scarlet Knights to log first multi-point game.
As a freshman (2017)
• Appeared in four contests for the Big Red during her rookie campaign.
• Made collegiate debut in the season-opening win at Villanova on Feb. 18.
Prior to Cornell
• Zachara was a New Jersey state champion with the Summit HS lacrosse team her senior year and was also named second-team all-league in the Stars and Stripes Division for her Steps Lacrosse Club.
• In 2015, she was named a US Lacrosse Academic All-American.
• Zachara also captained the soccer team and was named Union County honorable mention in 2015.
• She was also named a Commended National Merit Scholar in 2014.
Personal
• Isabel Irene Zachara is the daughter of Michael and Annie Zachara.
• She has an older brother, Nicholas, and a younger sister, Sophie.
• Nicholas plays lacrosse and soccer at St. Lawrence University.
• She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
