As a junior (2021)

• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a sophomore (2020)

• Did not see any game action before the season ended after just nine games due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a freshman (2019)

• Appeared in six games, including five starts that spanned all three outfield positions.
• Had first collegiate hit March 16 at Towson.

Prior to Cornell

• Played four years as an outfielder and pitcher at Dwight-Englewood HS, garnering all-league first team honors as a junior and seniors.
• As second-year captain in 2018, helped team win league championship.
• Presented school's Foote Memorial Award (senior boy who has distinguished himself in athletics and has been exemplary in team spirit, sportsmanship, and dedication to the athletic program); Jonathan Wedeck Award (junior athlete who best represents the character and spirit of the school) and Silberfein Award (male freshman athlete of the year).
• Earned Northeast Region honorable mention for 2018 Perfect Game All-Region teams and was placed on all-tournament teams for the 2017 Perfect Game Super25 17U Mid-Atlantic Super Qualifier. 
• Helped Northern Valley Hurricanes club team to national top-100 ranking in 2016.
• Tabbed 25th among outfielders in New Jersey and Top 1,000 nationally among classmates by Perfect Game.
• Also played four years of football at Dwight-Englewood as a wide receiver, running back, safety and kicker, earning first-team all-league honors as a senior captain and honorable mention as a junior.

Personal

• Lachlan Phillip Charles is the son of François and Gina Charles, and he has one sister. 
• Enrolled in School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
