As a senior (2020)

• Started two games before season was ended after nine games due to COVID-19 concerns.

As a junior (2019)

• Appeared in four games, including a start at designated hitter April 2 vs. St. Bonaventure.
• Had a first collegiate hit and drove in two runs after coming on as a reserve in team's season-ending game May 7 at St. Bonaventure.

Prior to Cornell

• Played as an outfielder at Solon HS, helping team to state championship games during senior season.
• Named first-team all-conference and selected to play in Greater Cleveland Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game during senior year.
• Also competed as a point guard on the basketball team for three years in high school.
• Member of National Honor Society.

Personal

• Anthony Avila Charles is the son of Tony Charles Sr. and Tonya Charles.
• Enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
