As a junior (2021)

• Credited with 26 tackles with a pass breakup, a fumble recovery and a blocked kick while playing in all 10 contests.
• Posted a career-high six stops in the season opener against No. 22 VMI.
• Had four tackles at Yale.
• Recovered a fumble and broke up a pass while making two tackles at No. 22 Harvard.
• Earned his first collegiate start against Bucknell.
• Blocked a punt that was credited with a safety and added a tackle vs. Brown.
• Made three tackles against No. 15 Princeton.
• Posted two tackles in the win at Penn and three at both No. 22 Dartmouth and Columbia.

As a sophomore (2020) 

• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

As a freshman (2019)

• Played in seven games as a reserve safety and on special teams, making a total of three tackles.
• Made his collegiate debut against Georgetown on special teams.
• Had a special teams tackle against Colgate.
• Made two stops while seeing his first time at safety in the win over Brown.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Earned all-county honors as a wide receiver as a senior at University HS.
• Earned team Offensive MVP as a senior.
• Served as team co-captain in his final season.
• Led the county in yards per catch as a senior (23.8), catching 20 passes for 475 yards and two touchdowns.
• Also lettered in basketball and track and field.
• Was an honorable mention all-area pick on the hardwood as a senior captain.
• Named the team's Defensive Player of the Year as a junior.
• Was the AAU national champion at the Junior Olympic Games in the long jump and triathlon and an All-American in the high jump in 2011 in New Orleans, La.
 

Personal

• Jalyx Benjamin Hunt is the son of James and Jaaqua Hunt and has an older sister.
• His father played football at Alcorn State and Mississippi.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the SC Johnson College of Business.
