Biography
As a senior (2022)
• Saw action in all 16 games for the Big Red in 2022.
• Has caused 18 turnovers and fielded 23 ground balls.
• Had three caused turnovers and a pair of ground balls in the win over Lehigh.
• Caused three turnovers and fielded two ground balls in the win over No. 5 Ohio State.
• Corralled three ground balls while causing a pair of turnovers in the win at Penn State.
• Created three turnovers and scooped a pair of ground balls against No. 7 Penn.
• Posted two caused turnovers against Army West Point.
As a junior (2020)
• Played in all five games during a shortened junior campaign due to COVID-19.
• Ranked second on the team in caused turnovers (6).
• Averaged 1.20 caused turnovers per game, a mark which ranked seventh in the Ivy League at the end of the year.
• Matched a career-high 12 ground balls on the season.
• Picked up at least two ground balls in four of the Big Red’s five contests.
• Had a career day in Cornell’s season-opening victory over UAlbany, collecting a career-best four ground balls and causing a career-high four turnovers.
As a sophomore (2019)
• Played in 13 games during the 2019 season as one of the team’s primary long stick midfielders.
• Registered 12 ground balls.
• Picked up a season-high two ground balls on four occasions.
• Caused eight turnovers on the year.
• Had a season-high three caused turnovers vs. Harvard.
• Registered his first career goal vs. Yale in the Ivy League Tournament semifinal.
As a freshman (2018)
• Saw action in four games as a rookie.
• Played against Binghamton, Air Force, Dartmouth, and Brown.
• Picked up two ground balls on the year.
• Had one ground ball vs. both the Falcons and the Big Green.
• Went 2-of-5 in the face-off circle.
Prior to Cornell
• Four-year letter winner at Miller Place High School.
• Two-time captain and MVP of the lacrosse team.
• US Lacrosse High School All-American (2017).
• Two-time all-county selection.
• Named the Suffolk County Coaches Association Specialist of the Year as a senior after taking home Rookie of the Year accolades in 2014.
• Also lettered three times in wrestling at Miller Place, winning the league championship as a senior.
• Two-time captain and MVP of the wrestling team.
• Earned all-county honors in 2016 and 2017.

• Joseph Thomas Bartolotto III is the son of Joseph Bartolotto II and Pasquina Bartolotto and he has one brother.
